Are you looking for a meaningful way to serve this summer?!
Studies have shown that students who do not have active ways to engage in educational opportunities during the summer months experience Summer Learning Loss. This gap is even greater between children from high-income families to low-income families.
By the ninth grade, this can add up to 3 years of learning loss. ⅔ of the achievement gap between children from high-income families to low-income families can be explained by unequal access to summer learning opportunities during the elementary school years. As a result, low-income youth are less likely to graduate from high school or enter college.
This is why we are hosting five weeks of day camp this summer! While we are helping to combat summer learning loss, we will also allow these children to experience God’s Love for them right where they are. Students will experience spiritual development, meaningful relationships with peers and role models, engagement with nature, physical activity, engaging STEM and JUST PLAIN FUN! Would you partner with us in listening to the Lord’s heart for these children?
